In other words, there is an abundance of evidence that many many homosexuals were born heterosexual but were disoriented by sexual abuse.

Indeed, there are many more cases of sexual abuse than there are cases of homosexuality. As one large study discussed in a 1997 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association found, on average 12.8% of women and 4.3% of men recall being sexually abused.¹ (How many do not recall it?)

According to Dr. James E. Soukup, author of a book which deals with several subjects including sexual abuse: "In one national study in 1985, 27 percent of the females interviewed and 16 percent of the males reported to have been sexually abused as children. Other studies indicate that these figures are too low. It is suggested that eighty percent of all sexual abuse is not reported."²

The Associated Press noted in late 1998 that, according to an analysis of 166 studies covering the years 1985-97: "As many as one in five boys is sexually abused....It [also] concluded that sexual abuse of boys is underreported and undertreated....Earlier studies have shown that 25 percent to 35 percent of girls are sexually abused."³

(According to a JAMA review of literature re the sexual abuse of boys, only 10%-33% of male abuse victims ever tell anyone about that abuse.⁴ The review also found that: "Abused [male] adolescents, particularly those victimized by males, were up to 7 times more likely to self-identify as gay or bisexual than peers who had not been abused."⁵ And regarding female abuse victims, one study found that 38% of adult women ages 18-31 who were sexually abused when young [between ages 10 months to 12 years] did not remember that they were sexually abused when young.⁶)

According to an article in Newsweek: "University of New Hampshire professor David Finkelhor, widely considered the premier researcher on crimes against children,...finds that 21 percent of all girls and at least 3 (but more likely 10) percent of boys are sexually victimized by age 17."⁷

According to SIECUS, the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States: "In 2015, 11.5% of female high school students and 6.4% of male high school students in Illinois reported having been physically forced to have sexual intercourse, compared to 10.3% of female high school students and 3.1% of male high school students nationwide."

Whatever the true percentages are of male and female sex abuse victims, considering how high the suggested/reported numbers are compared to the percentage of the population that is homosexual, we can see that sexual abuse can theoretically account for every case of homosexuality.

Too, there currently is no definitive proof that anyone is born homosexual. Several studies by homosexual researchers claimed to find some possible biological bases for homosexuality. But other scientists easily pointed out the flaws in those studies, and the results of those studies have yet to be replicated by others. In the words of pro-homosexual Newsweek magazine: "In the early '90s, three highly publicized studies seemed to suggest that homosexuality's roots were genetic....More than five years later the data have never been replicated."⁸ (This fact has been almost totally ignored by the biased, untrustworthy, dominant liberal media.) And in the May/June 2008 issue of Psychology Today we have this: "No one has yet identified a particular gay gene....There is no all-inclusive explanation for the variation in sexual orientation, at least none supported by actual evidence....[T]here are many different mechanisms [involving both nature and nurture], not a single one, for producing homosexuality."⁹

Even the radically pro-LGBT magazine The Advocate has admitted: "If there is a gay gene---no researcher has found it yet."¹⁰ And from the Jan./Feb. 2018 pro-LGBT Gay & Lesbian Review: "[S]everal large studies scanning the entire human genome have not revealed a single, consistent genetic variant among males with homosexuality. Thus it is now clear that no specific 'gay gene' determines sexual orientation"(James O'Keefe, Evan O'Keefe, and John Hodes, "Evolutionary Origins of Homosexuality," p. 14).

And a large 2019 study pretty much demolishes the "born that way" propaganda. From an article about the study: "A large scientific study into the biological basis of sexual behavior has confirmed there is no single 'gay gene' but that a complex mix of genetics and environment affects whether a person has same-sex sexual partners....'We scanned the entire human genome [of over 470,000 people] and found a handful---five to be precise---of locations that are clearly associated with whether a person reports in engaging in same-sex sexual behavior,' said Andrea Ganna, a biologist at the Institute of Molecular Medicine in Finland who co-led the research. He said these have 'a very small effect' and, combined, explain 'considerably less than 1% of the variance in the self-reported same-sex sexual behavior.' This means that non-genetic factors---such as environment, upbringing, personality, nurture---are far [with strong emphasis on the far] more significant in influencing a person's choice of sexual partner" (Reuters, "No 'gay gene', but study finds genetic links to sexual behavior" by Kate Kelland).

And it looks like we're starting to finally make some progress in getting the LGBT community to drop the "born that way" charade, propaganda, big lie, that they've been spreading for decades. It took them awhile, but some are finally admitting (because, we're assuming, they want to have at least a little credibility) that there is no solid science to back up the "born that way" propaganda. A 2022 quote from trans-bi activist, author, and public speaker, Julia Serano: "None of us can precisely say for sure why we turned out to be gay, or trans, or otherwise....Nor can we say why some people come to this self-understanding as children, others during adolescence, and still others as adults" (Trudy Ring, "'Born This Way' Or Not?," The Advocate, Sept./Oct. 2022, p. 20).

Also, some left-wingers are finally admitting that trendy social influences, social contagion, may be affecting the gender identities of some impressionable youth. According to a November 2022 report, "Growing Body Of Evidence Shows ‘Social Influence’ Is Causing Teens To Undergo Sex Changes": "The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), which supports medical interventions for children who believe they’re transgender, acknowledged the social contagion phenomenon in its newest standards of care. The guidelines acknowledged a sudden surge in 'nonbinary' identities as well as a growing number of patients who didn’t experience gender dysphoria in childhood, both signs of possible peer influence. 'For a select subgroup of young people, susceptibility to social influence impacting gender may be an important differential to consider,' the standards of care read [page S 45 of Standards of Care for the Health of Transgender and Gender Diverse People, Version 8]."

So how can anyone claim, in good conscience, that homosexuals are born that way and have no choice? When someone says they are homosexual, our first response should be to try and find out if he/she was sexually abused and, if so, to then punish the abuser. Our next response should be to provide therapy to homosexuals to help them cope with their problems.

Those who push the born-homosexual line are effectively ignoring the sexual abuse of children. What kind of "people" want to let pedophiles get away with sexually abusing little kids?

(If sexual abuse happens to a one-year or two-year old child, he or she may not remember it later in life because it happened at such a young age. However, the trauma can govern the rest of the victim's life. Some homosexuals will swear they were never sexually abused, but they have no way of knowing for sure.)

Skilled psychologists and psychiatrists like Masters and Johnson, Charles Socarides, Joseph Nicolosi, Benjamin Kaufman, Elizabeth Moberly, Jeffrey Satinover, and Gerard van den Aardweg, have had success changing homosexuals into heterosexuals. (They have been successful because most if not all homosexuals were probably born heterosexual.)

Dr. Reuben Fine, Director of the New York Center for Psychoanalytic Training: "It is paradoxical that even though the politically active homosexual group[s] denies the possibility of change, all studies from Schrenk-Notzing on have found positive effects, virtually regardless of the kind of treatment used....If the homosexual patients were motivated, whatever procedure [i.e., treatment] is adopted, a large percentage will give up their homosexuality."¹¹

Those who oppose using therapy to change homosexuals into heterosexuals are, in effect, trying to keep homosexuals locked into homosexuality. Those who oppose such therapy do not want homosexuals to have a choice, a way out of homosexuality. That's un-American, inhumane, intolerant, and meanly oppressive.

In addition, considering all the solid scientific evidence that many homosexuals are mentally disturbed to one degree or another because of sexual abuse (or dysfunctional parents or other negative developmental influences many homosexuals experienced), it is clear that those psychiatrists and psychologists who say homosexuality should NOT be on the officially approved list of mental illnesses are seemingly incompetent malpractitioners. They appear to be more interested in being "politically correct" than in the truth. Incompetent malpractitioners should have their licenses to ply their professions revoked.

(A book written by Dr. Ronald Bayer, a pro-homosexual psychiatrist, titled Homosexuality and American Psychiatry: The Politics of Diagnosis, explains how the decision to remove homosexuality from the officially approved list of mental disorders was based on power politics and intimidation by homosexual groups NOT science.)

An interesting trend: According to a Feb. 2021 Gallup poll: Gallup's latest update on lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender identification finds 5.6% of U.S. adults identifying as LGBT. The current estimate is up from 4.5% in Gallup's previous update based on 2017 data." Assuming the "data" are accurate and are not manipulative propaganda (which the "data" very well could be given the "questionable" moral values of pro-LGBT people), it is more evidence that many many abnormal sexual orientations are NOT inborn but are products of their environments (e.g., sexual abuse, psychological grooming, etc.). Among some youth, identifying as LGBT is a fad, and is a choice. (And if straight people can choose to be homosexual, is there any reason homosexuals can't choose to be straight? Just askin'.)

More on that interesting trend: According to a June 2021 UPI story, which summarized the results of a more technical report in JAMA Pediatrics: "Between 2015 and 2019, the percentage of 15- to 17-year-olds who said they identified as 'non-heterosexual' rose from 8.3% to 11.7%, according to nationwide surveys by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention....[T]he percentage of boys who identified as non-heterosexual rose from 4.5% to 5.7%. For girls, the increase was greater---from 12.2% to 17.8%....The increase in teens who identified as non-heterosexual was not matched by a corresponding increase in same-sex intimate contact." In 2019, 6.4% of boys supposedly engaged in same-sex sexual contact, and 20.5% of girls according to that JAMA Pediatrics report. Note the discrepancy between the 5.7% and 6.4% figures for boys, and the 17.8% and 20.5% figures for girls. Be very careful about trusting the results of surveys and polls. Agenda-driven people can manipulate them for propaganda purposes to try to sway public opinion. Surveys and polls have been corrupted in the quest for power. So many young people can't see how they are being manipulated via a massive sophisticated propaganda campaign by the liberal establishment (the liberal entertainment industry, the liberal "fake news" media, and the liberal public educational system), manipulated into irrationally being pro-LGBT. Some have even been manipulated into experimenting with homosexual sex. Many youth in this country need to wake up and smell the coffee, need to see they are being targeted by some pretty corrupt people.

Two last notes: 1) Homosexuals do not want you to know that many of them were sexually abused when young, because many people who were so abused go on to molest others. And homosexuals do not want you to know that they are more likely to molest children than heterosexuals are.¹² (Note of clarification: While that is a fact, there is no proof at this time that it is because of their homosexuality, but rather because so many of them were sexually abused themselves.)

And 2) "Homosexuality associated with child molestation was indexed in the U.S. and U.K. from 2012 through 2021. When 'child sexual abuse' was used as the search term in Google News, of consecutive U.S. news stories where the sex of the perpetrator and sex of the victim was revealed, 33.1% (872 of 2,632 perpetrators) violated 52.2% ( 2,965 of 5,679 victims) homosexually. In the consecutive UK stories, 44.8% (326 of 727 perpetrators) homosexually violated 89% (6,031 of 6,779 victims). Journalists---who wrote the stories brought up by Google News---[in effect] said homosexuality dominated sexual molestation of kids [emphasis ours] in both countries" ("How homosexuals convert others to homosexuality," Paul Cameron, Dec. 19, 2022).

In sum, this means men who experience same-sex sexual attractions are WAY overrepresented (by a factor of 10) amongst male sex offenders who victimized kids.

And we'll include another 2012 study which found: "Extraordinarily high rates of CSA [childhood sexual abuse] were observed for sexual minorities." For example, lesbians and female bisexuals were 3.4 times and 5.3 times, respectively, more likely to have experienced CSA than heterosexuals. Homosexual males and male bisexuals were 9.5 times and 12.8 times, respectively, more likely to have experienced CSA than heterosexuals (Sweet, T. and Welles, S.L., "Associations of sexual identity or same-sex behaviors with history of childhood sexual abuse and HIV/STI risk in the United States," J Acquir Immune Defic Syndr, April 1, 2012; 59(4), pp. 400-08).
